The European Health & Spa award is an independent and objective evaluation system for Spa & Wellness Businesses in a variety of categories.
Many award winners have profited from the award for example by recognition as market leader.
This is a truly international award with participants from Germany/Austria/Switzerland, Portugal, Italy, Slovenia, and Finland, amongst others.
Who can participate?
This spa award is open to all spa & wellness related companies headquarter based in Europe. Fees apply.

- best hotel/resort spa
- best thermal resort/mineral spring spa
- best day spa
- best medical spa/best medical resort
- best public bath
- best signature treatment
- best product innovation (technical)
- best product innovation (cosmetics)
Ceremony
An award Gala ceremony will be held in Vienna (usually in June)

The Jury
The Jury consists of experts and leaders in the industry, and key figures in economics and media. I am proud to say that I will be part of the jury team this year.
Selection of the winners takes place in two stages: After a pre-selection, participants will be nominated for the award, based on a points system.
Criteria
Entries are assessed on the basis of defined criteria in form of a points system.
There are nine criteria groups:
- design and technique
- health
- offers & services
- benefits
- economic efficiency
- sustainability
- creativity
- CSR corporate social responsibility
- followed by mystery guesting
Quality certificate
For the first time, in 2019 additionally to the award, the European Health & Spa Quality Certificate will be issued.
This is a great opportunity for any spa & wellness business to benchmark against other market providers, to gain recognition, and develo quality management further.
