European Health & Spa Awards – winner reviews

The European Health & Spa Award is an annual competition, open to all Europe headquartered companies that operate in the spa wellness facilities and beauty salons, or market health and spa innovations. Categories in which awards can be achieved are:

best spa manager
best destination spa
best hotel spa
best thermal resort
best day spa
best medical spa
best public bath
best product innovation
best signature treatment

How it works? Easy. The company registers and has to fill an extensive questionnaire. Then a mystery check is performed by an expert.

Winners are announced at a Gala evening. For 2017, this has just happened last week in Vienna, and it is always exiting to hear about the winners!

I have picked some of the winners from three categories to present to you today, as I have performed a number of reviews amongst them.

Maybe some of those stories are going to inspire you to register for an award in 2018, likely to take place again in June? If so, let me wish you good luck and I can’t wait to hear about your success!

Best Hotel (Resort) Spa

Winner in this category is Borgo Egnazia’s Vair Spa, followed by Hotel Hochschober’s Kristall-Spa (Best in Austria), where I found magical moments during my stay.

The Waldhaus Spa at Waldhaus Flims came in 3rd Place as Best in Switzerland, followed by Beau Rivage – Cinq Mondes.

No wonder Hotel Forsthofgut with their waldSPA is a winner too, I was impressed by their spa concept of Europe’s first forest spa.

Best Public Bath

Winner in the category best public bath is the Asia Spa Leoben, located South of Vienna. I really enjoyed my visit there, and remember the great facilities most.

Best Signature Treatment

Winner for best signature treatment is Tamina Therme Bad Ragaz/Grand Resort Bad Ragazwith a haki-Ritual ‘art of touch’.

Te Cinq Mondes Spa Paris came in second with a global anti-ageing facial treatment called “ko bi do” (Best in France).

[comfortzone] came in 3rd Place (Best in Austria) with their ProSleep from the series “Tranquillity”.
